SMUGGLERS ADVENTURE

The Smugglers site was used by smugglers to hide their illegal goods, such as tobacco, tea, brandy and gin during the 18th and 19th centuries. In the 1950s and 1960s jazz evenings were organised there. The caves were also used to protect people from Nazi bombing during the Second World War.
